Vintage L.L. Bean fishing vest, upcycled into camp(ing) couture with hand beading, applique, and embroidery.
This fishing vest was transformed into a wearable work of art over nearly 30 hours of hand work. The fabric, lace, beads, and sequins used to create a glittering camouflage effect were all sourced from other second hand garments. Pink and green embroidery thread brings a hit of neon energy to the palette of khaki, navy, and ivory.
This vest remains fully functional, featuring 19 inner and outer pockets with zip or velcro closures. Gear up for your next fishing trip, protest, rave, cross continental journey, or whatever your adventure of choice may be.
